The most important is how to use solar energy better.People need cheaper and clean energy.Who stop it to develop fast. We know it can do more thing than we looked.I am working a solar energy factory in China. If you use it ,must through factory-trader-nativetrader-distributor and you.In factory we made it must spend 2.3?/w.But i don't know how much somebody buy it in us and euro.In fact the most expencive of systerm is cells,in China maybe just 10 company control the markets.

take those panels and put them in the basement.first you take a parabolic solar concentrator and put an robotic arm on it to follow the suns path.then make the focal point a mirrored shape cone that will send the light down through mirrored glass tubing straight into a mirrored shape glass box inside the mirrored shape box will be several solar panels that spin to keep them cool the mirrored box must have the mirrors inward to reflect the light sending from the parabolic focal point.ken van horn

obviously people need to give solar energy a chance. just like all science it's not perfected over night.
people are just afraid of the idea of not relying on the electric company and gas companies as a standard way.

@lester5192 I'm all for alternate energy, and solar will eventually be accepted. But my understanding is that solar intensity of 100W per sq meter is considered good. One kilowatt for the size of the lens he was showing seems high by almost a factor of 10. If a system so small could do what he's saying, I think solar would have been much more successful already. Anybody got some proven numbers?

@srobidoux i still think people are afraid and kinda self sinister about having it better. imagine having a car that ran during the day and at the same time held even more energy in a battery for the night. people like dealing with gasoline, gas stations, etc. gives them a reason to bitch and stress. but solar powered cars would also prevent explosions and reduce air pollution. probably too much politics involved too.
